So it was 65 degrees here today, I was all excited to FINALLY get my baby-baby-arse (what you call it after being pregnant for 2 years straight) outside for some double-stroller walking! But I couldn’t bring the babies or my arse out for a walk because of THIS!

First of all…if any of you know….WTF is it? Secondly…I snapped a photo of just one. Out our back door — millions!
When we first moved into our Townhouse 3 years ago (to the week)…the first night we slept here we had windows open and they all came in through the screen. They were hoarding at every light in our house. Newlyweds and first-time home owners we were not prepared for this kind of invasion – we had a choice of hairspray or cooking spray to use….we went with the hairspray. Poor choice. Oh it stopped them from flying for the night – but they were glued to our walls the next morning!
Now come August, these puppies get H U G E!!! When I tried to take the babies out for a stroll around the block last summer, they literally smacked me in the face while I was walking — they look like GINORMOUS mosquitoes…..I have no clue what they actually are. If I had to get this grossed out today, I had to also gross you out too. I hate bugs so much. I’m from the shore, so I know the high-annoyance of bitting flies on the beach, but that’s about it. There are bugs out here in Pennsyltucky that even GOD does not know about. I’m itching all over now. Blahyck!!!

I know around here, once it gets nice enough to go out & sit & relax, the “punkys” come out of hiding, then a month or so later, the mosquito’s!
It rots, we have a nice sititng area out front, and beautiful woods out back, but often the bugs keep us away!
Crane flies….that’s what I was thinking they might be…no one else around here has a clue. So gross.

Those sorta look like the midges (or muckleheads) that we get usually around Cleveland when it starts warming up. They live about a day. I think they are some sort of mayfly. If yours get bigger then they’re not the same thing cuz the things we get die in a day…lol. They swarm in the millions, I’m not kidding. NASTY
I cannot stand bugs! I actually saw a mosquito yesterday, and I thought, OMG…already? And a fly. I thought. A fly? First warm day and theres a fly? Do they like hybernate or something?
Bwahaha! We have those things here in Missouri, too… I think they are called Crane Flies????
