Seriously I thought I was going to fry-over-easy right there on that volcano…it was insanely hot. We each were REQUIRED to carry no less than 6 bottles of water for the 4 hour hike out there and back! Wishing I was back in Hawaii right about now {as the children are shrilling around me}…ahh that was fun! Though, that was our Honeymoon…fast forward 3 years, 2 kids…there is no way I’d stand THAT CLOSE to volcano opening with my husband today — oh yeah, he’d push me in for sure!

Such a cute site you have…love it!
Oh and as if it’s not HOT enough, you have to wear special gloves so you don’t rip your hands open if you fall on the surface of the hardened lava…it’s like broken glass!
