The Mom Jen gives me even MORE of an excuse to post MORE photos of my iTwins each Thursday.  She hosts “A Thousand Words Thursday” over at her blog – I love it! 

This week: my photo of the iTwins, plus a thousand (or so) words on our great experience with our OBX photographer.

We received (and I was finally able to sort through) the photos that were taken while we were on vacation in the Outer Banks of North Carolina this past July. 

This one was my favorites of the iTwins together.  We were so hot, sweaty and sticky and had sand from ear to ear and head to toe by the end of the hour session.

A Thousand Words…

…but the kids were troopers and our photographer, Julie took some cute shots.

Julie Dreelin is the photographer behind Beach Productions.  She worked really well with the kiddos and had a lot of patience with our large group.  She took photos of my husband’s entire family together (all 15 of us) and then each individual family, and then of course the children.

It was funny because when we met up with Julie on the beach that evening, she calmly explained how the session was going to go.  She was just the sweetest person.  She continued to explain that if everyone was calling and “making noises” at the kids during the session, they would be distracted, so to just let her “do the talking”.

Well apparently NO ONE heard her explain this because our crew was doing everything from whistling to making “whOOP whOOp” noises to shaking keys!  I felt so bad for her as she tried to get all the shots.  But she was so nice about the whole situation and very professional, yet personable.

If you are looking for a photographer while you are on vacation in the Outer Banks, I recommend Beach Productions.  The photos from the session were posted online within a few days via Pictage and then we received all the photos on a CD within a few weeks.

She actually restored my faith in professional photographers. 

[An aside NOT related to THIS PHOTOGRAPHER: Let's just say OUR wedding photos 3 and half years (NOT shot by Beach Productions) ago were a disaster.  We were majorly scammed by Abella Studios in NJ and have a nightmare story for you regarding THAT company. 

Do not use Abella Studios Wedding Photography in NJ if you are getting married...thank goodness our guests took photos, lets put it that way.]
