While we’re still waiting for
to grow some hair,
‘s hair has been OUT OF CONTROL lately! Hubs and I decided this weekend was time for his first haircut.

My wonderful and talented friend who works at the local Hair Cuttery, has been both my go-to-hair-gal and hubby’s since we moved here 3+ years ago. She always fixed up my hair beyond perfection after I destroyed it with a DIY haircut or color-job.
You know, the color-job where you spend like an hour in the haircolor isle deciding what box/color is going to change your life…and you just know, you’ll look like the girl on the front of the box when you’re done – NOT!
Along the way, she has become a great friend…we actually had the SAME EXACT due date with our babies last year!
So after FINALLY learning my lesson (and refraining from doing it myself this time), I went to see my favorite stylist and let her work the magic Saturday morning. I warned her that we might bring
in for his first haircut later in the day. I had trimmed his curls myself (see there I go with the DIY again!) a few months back, but he really needed a REAL haircut.
Not knowing if he’d even sit in the chair — you know two-year-olds and their moods…we decided to give it a try.
When we got there he was excited because he knew what a haircut was from watching the ridiculous skit about it on Sesame Street so many times.
Daddy plopped him up on the chair, had the cape wrapped around him, and while he held onto a hair clip — my wonder-stylist clipped and snipped away.
He was a bit unsure at first and kept turning his head to watch everyone else have their hair done, but sat there like a trooper and made it through!

So, here is the BEFORE…and AFTER…

Makes him look so much older doesn’t it?
:)

Let’s talk about how adorable your son is, shall we?!? :-)
I’m glad to hear he’s getting his first haircut at 2. Mine is not even 1 1/2, and everyone and their mom wants me to cut his hair. No. Way. I’m waiting. And now, your post motivates me even more! ;-)
He does look so much older!
The first haircut is a hard one. We did my sons a week before his first birthday and I wish we had waited. They go from sweet baby to little boy all in one haircut :(
You make some gorgeous babies!! He looks like a little man now!!
What a handsome little guy!!!
I love that he loved it!
He sure looks older but so CUTE!!

Wow, he does look older and more mature! What a good job he did sitting for it!
And why does little boys’ hair seem to grow so much faster than girls’ hair? Doesn’t seem fair, does it!
What a big boy! And he looks adorable!
There is something so scary and yet so special about that first haircut. I took way to long to get my toddlers first cut. And of course he looked even more adorable after the cut. Although he was rocking the mullet look before the cut. lol
