Not sure about you, but my skin has become so incredibly dry (living here in PA) pretty much overnight! I LOVE the fall and winter so much, but the season-change just wrecks my skin [especially] on my hands and face.
It is made even worse from constantly washing/drying my hands all day with diaper changes and food preparations for the iTwins. Then there is the pile of dishes that doesn’t quite fit into the dishwasher…my hands want to scream by the end of the day — no. more. water!
Oh and then there is tubby-time…again more soap. more water.
My hands have just about had it by the time I actually get to sit down, relax and crochet or blog.
Just in time, the wonderful company Skin MD Natural™ sent me their product to try out and I NEED to share this one with you!
What it does

Sounds a little crazy, right…and even a little gimmicky…and for $18 a bottle? C’mon – right?
I will tell you, this lotion surprised me beyond belief and is pure “heaven in a bottle” for anyone with dry skin or skin conditions such as Eczema, Psoriasis and even those with skin problems due to thyroid disorders. It is worth every penny if you are looking for relief and a dry skin cure that works!
Here’s HOW it works
“Shielding lotions not only protect the skin’s barrier but they restore the moisture to the skin and allow the skin to continue to moisturize itself, so that your skin does not become addicted on the moisturizer and ultimately cures the dry skin.
Shampoos, antibacterial soaps, cosmetics, fragrances, colorants and other irritants bombard and penetrate the skin. These harsh chemicals and irritants can break down the skin’s natural protective ability. Some strip away moisture, while others lodge in the pores where they cause irritation and other negative reactions.
Unfortunately, traditional lotions have one basic goal – to simply make up for the moisture that our bodies are losing by adding an external source of moisture.”
The application
Basically you start off with multiple applications a day and over time, as your skin heals, you will need to apply it less and less. It is safe to use on the face, hands and body – that’s something you don’t get with most “regular lotions” as they are usually face, hand or body-specific.
I love that they actually explain ALL of the ingredients that make up the lotion, so you know exactly what you are putting on your body.

Blogging For a Year - My iRISH Twins are 31 & 19 Months Old Now
If you could see a picture of my “broken” skin, you would see why I need to try this product. My skin is falling off almost and then they crack and bleed. They don’t heel, all the pcitures I have seen do not compare to mine. I have been on prescription cream for months. I works for a few hours thats it.

I need Skin MD because my hands are so dry they crack in the cold months. As a knitter it is hard to find something that does not leave my hands sticky and unable to work after using.

I’m a fan on facebook – that’s where I saw this giveaway first.
I need this because winter hasn’t even started and my hands are extremely dry – no cracking yet, but I’d love to avoid that this year. I like that the Skin MD is fragrance free and not supposed to have any greasy feel. I hate when I can’t use a good product because of the extra un-needed scent.
My son Kenny has eczema & we have tried all kinds of creams. I’m not thrilled with him using the steroid creams all the time-plus the fact that they don’t really work. I would love for him to try this-it sounds great!
