Happy Thanksgiving 2009

Tomorrow we are heading out early to drive into NJ to my husband’s parent’s house to have our annual Thanksgiving feast. It’s the first year BOTH iTwins are eating solids and get to enjoy some Turkey with the rest of us.

I hope to get into NJ in time to catch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV. It has been a tradition to watch on Thanksgiving Parade (on TV) in our family for as long as I can remember.

20857845I think that the iTwins will enjoy seeing all the balloons and dancing to the marching bands and various performances.

Can’t wait to be able to visit NY with them someday to watch the parade in person!

My favorite part of the parade is the Rockettes and of course Santa Claus.

When we were little, my Mom would tell us that we had to “wave back to him” (on the TV) so that he sees us and would know to bring us gifts on Christmas. It kept us believing for a long time, that’s for sure :)

It was always a magical start to the Holiday season (not like now when Christmas lights go on sale the day after Halloween – geesh!)

Wherever you are this year and what ever you do this weekend have a wonderful time with family and friends.

Happy Thanksgiving!

[Thanksgivng with the iTwins last year...and my son not being able to hold still for a momentary photo LOL - just love these kids!]
