We headed into New Jersey Saturday morning to visit with our parents (the iTwins’ Grandparents).
It takes us about 2 hours in the car, without traffic, to make the drive from our driveway here in Pennsylvania to the Jersey Shore…where they live, and where WE grew up.
No, not THAT Jersey Shore….THIS Jersey Shore.
Just enough time for the kids to have a snack (which they ask for about 3 minutes into the car-ride), take a snooze (for about 20 minutes), and tell us “ALL Done with Car” (our son told us this for about 40 miles on the way home last night).
It was great to see our parents, even if it was a short visit. When we visit I’m sure it’s like a small Twister (love that movie – hehe) came though each of their homes because we come in the front door…the iTwins do their “toddler thing” and run like crazy for a few hours – then poop out and we leave. Sorry Mom & Dad.
The iTwins call my husband’s parents “Grandma & Grandpa” — but it comes out as “Grandma & Grandma-POP”…and they call my parents “Mimi & PopPop” — it’s cute because when we put our 2-year-old son to sleep at night he has to go through the entire list of everyone he knows…he knows which set of grandparents have which dogs etc. and names them all – so funny!

…oh yeah, despite piggin’ out this past weekend, hubby & I still managed to lose weight AGAIN this week – woot! You can read about it here on my Weight Loss Blog mamajoss.com.

sidenote: I’m heading back to my ENT tomorrow morning for a follow up on my SSHL to see what the next steps are for my hearing. I’m hearing MUCH better, but not 100%, so we’ll see…

So cute! Congrats on losing weight again! My boys are bacon fiends right now too, driving me nuts because I don’t have pork in the house normally, but they HAVE to have it so now we have pre-cooked (lazy I know) bacon in the fridge at all times!

put the camera in auto and start shooting for a week…then read only about program mode and put the camera in program mode….use that for about a month or until you are comfortable by that time you will be ready for manual mode :) Oh yeah and no live view mode except to take video until you are very comfortable with the other modes….it is harder to get used to! You can do it….I know you can!
Maybe I should start a class for you and another friend….as well as anyone else who wants to come! The only way to learn the camera is to shoot and fail and try again until you shoot and succeed!
Oh Thanks…yeah I HAVE to just start using it — I’m a big scEEERDY cat – hehe:) Picked up David Busch’s Nikon D90 Guide to Digital SLR Photography – and it’s a BIG HELP! If you have any resources/websites etc. you can point me to – I’d love that :)
