Awww our BIG BOY is 2!

Nine month after we got married I got pregnant with him – our first baby.

Two years ago I was a huge swollen lump waiting for myBuddy to arrive.  My blood pressure was up at 38 and half weeks, so they broke my water and got things rollin’ – 2 hours later our precious baby boy was born…

He’s a feisty two-year-old with a mind of his own and I love it!  I love him :)

But, I do miss him being a snuggly baby…

All of that SWEETNESS!

Bring on the terrible-twos and potty training…wish us luck…

Happy Birthday to our smart, cuddly, active, stubborn, sensitive, giggly, artistic, strong, silly, amazing baby boy.

✓ Purchased 161 (says the receipt) items at “the Walmart” (post-vacation re-stocking), including 4 avocados (for to make guacamole with this week) & 3 packages of Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts (myBuddy’s vice)

✓ Only tweet’d 6 times!

✓ Washed 9 loads of laundry – Folded 14 loads of laundry (obviously, this was the HIGHLIGHT and how I spent most of, my weekend)

✓ Gave out 5 doses of Tylenol to Pinkie who now has a come-and-go “crunchy” sounding cough.  Oh, and I have a sore throat today too — fabulous — germs be gone already!

✓ Peeled 13 potatoes to make garlic herb baked potatoes to go w/hubby steak (not pictured, but good job honey):

✓ Picked 3 ripe tomatoes from my patio plants (and along w/myBuddy ate them with cucumbers doused in olive oil/red wine vinegar)
{this photo was from last year when we found myBuddy LOVED tomatoes — he went right over to my parent’s garden, picked one and ate it on the spot!}

✓ “Tiny chat’d” with 4 fabulous ladies on friday night:
— if you don’t already know them, give them a visit won’t you…Knit Purl Gurl, Jen Hinton, Cheryl, Carissa & Kelly they all have wonderful blogs, great things to say and are awesome ladies!

✓ Changed 27 diapers between the two iTwins (well, to be fair PapaBoss changed a few too…aww ain’t he the sweetest?)

✓ Cleaned up the iTwins “playzone” 5 times, refilled sippy cups 21 times and listened to them giggle with each other 7,234 times!

✓ Checked my e-mail on my iPhone 467 times, and e-mailed 0 times.

✓ Witnessed 7 major “Terrible-Twos Meltdowns” — btw, did you enter the iTwins BIG Birthday Giveaway yet?

✓ Wished I was going to BlogHer 768 times.  Oh well, next year.  All of you who are going have a blast and I expect a full report!

…you BEST KNOW you’re going to have your little hiney out there cleaning it up the next day! MyBuddy thoroughly enjoyed that part though – anything to soak his father play in water.

Had to keep the boys busy somehow while I cleaned every nook, cranny and crib this past weekend.

He has also become quite fond of our vacuum.  It’s a love-hate relationship actually.  He’s terrified of it while it’s running, but LOVES it when it’s locked in the upright position with the cord tightly wrapped up {meaning that it cannot possibly be turned on}.  Well upon opening our pantry the other day {oh because now my “baby” can open doors…*sigh*} he found Mommy’s Swiffer…which to him works much like a vacuum…minus the noise.  He began “Swiffering” the entire second floor of our house…saying “vac-uuum, vac-uuuum”.

Well it was cute until he clobbered his {newly sitting-up-by-herself & crawling} sister!

Take it away. TANTRUM.

Give it back.  CLOBBERING.

What to do, what to do?

So, I had a smartypants moment.  Re-size it.  I took it apart and removed the extenders so that it became a perfectly pint-sized pushable tot-mop!!!  The result…a happy toddler…an unscathed baby girl…and CLEAN FLOORS!

He’s very thorough…and I don’t charge much {at all!} if you want to borrow him… [sorry the terrible almost-twos are included -- this is non-negotiable] Hmmm…looks like I should put this boy to work for some product reviews!
